• May and June
  You will enjoy comfortable temperatures and blue skies. And - at least to the middle of June - tourist swarms haven't yet taken over Athens.
  
  
• September and October
  Gradually becomes cooler, but it's still nice (at least up to mid October).

Least desirable times

• July and August
  Midday temperatures are sweltering. Foreign and national tourists take over Athens and thereby create high prices, long waiting lines, and limited accommodation availability.
  
  
• November to March
  This is the cold, windy, cloudy, raining season. That's not what a sightseer needs.
